Planning
Planning, whether urban, regional, city, or town utilizes technical and political processes concerned with the use of land and design of the environment, including air, water, and the transportation infrastructure. The City of Sapulpa planning staff works closely with the regional planning agency INCOG (Indian Nation Council of Governments) as well as planning staff from neighboring counties, cities, and towns.
City Planning guides and ensures the orderly development of residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial nodes while maintaining open spaces for public use. City planning practices the inclusion of surrounding rural regions and neighboring urban areas with which the City may share resources.
Planning concerns itself and performs the functions of research and analysis, strategic thinking, architecture and design, public involvement, policy recommendations, and implementation and management of the community's goals and objectives.
