Summary
Under general supervision of Systems Administrators for the Public Safety Sector, the position will be providing technical assistance and support to end users of PCs, radio system, and 911 systems for the Police Department, Fire Department, and Dispatch Center. Installation and maintenance of network system hardware, software and data; monitor activities; configure and manage network data back-up and archives; and maintain remote communications. Must be available for periodic after-hours call-out.
Essential Functions
• Oversee the operations of Computer Aided Dispatch Systems
• Oversee the operation of Public Safety Records Management Systems
• Oversee the operation of Automatic Vehicle Location Systems
• Oversee the operation of Electronic Citation Systems
• Oversee the operation of Case Management Systems
• Oversee all other technology systems within the Public Safety Sector
• Install and maintain hardware/software needs of Public Safety Center
• Ensure radio communication system to include 911-related systems are properly maintained and supported
• Acts as first point of contact for technology support for Public Safety Center
• Monitor network systems to detect error messages that signal malfunction in software or hardware.
• Assist with inventory of all software, hardware and magnetic media.
• Assist the Systems Administrator as duties will allow.
• Assist with emergency management as needed and during declared emergencies
• May assist with other technology issues as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Working environment is primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors and in inclement weather.
Physical Demands
This is partially a sedentary role; however, handling items will include pulling, pushing, twisting, bending, stooping and lifting or other duties.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work will vary, with potential periodic after-hours call-out.
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2. Associate Degree from a two-year college or university.
3. Two years’ experience and/or training in configuring, installing, and supporting personal computers, network operating systems, and associated automation applications.
4. An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting four years’ experience for one year of education.
5. One (1) year experience maintaining SQL databases
6. Valid Oklahoma Class “D” Driver License
