Wastewater Maintenance Operator
Summary
Perform the functions required in the proper maintenance of the plant and lift stations of the City’s wastewater.
Essential Functions

Operate and maintain lift stations, notifying supervisor of any unusual circumstances.
Maintain all applicable records related to maintenance of the lift stations.
Ability to perform all duties of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator if needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in the wastewater system. Can be exposed to damp areas, raw sewage and other items in the system.
Physical Demands
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, distinguish colors, operate hand tools
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal shift length is 8 hours and the work schedule may vary if necessary.
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Any combination of education, training and/or experience to competently perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Has necessary wastewater licenses to operate plant.
- One or more years of mechanical experience.
- One or more years of related experience.
